Even though it is winter and the bbq is all packed until summer, that does not mean we can’t enjoy a delicious juicy burger. Beautifully seasoned with tons of flavourful herbs, these lamb burgers can be fried to perfection in a heated pan on the stove. Served on a paleo hamburger bun or on its own with all the traditional toppings with a salad on the side or steamed vegetables.


Ingredients:
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
½ tsp fresh mint, chopped
½ tsp sea salt
1 ½lb ground lamb
2 garlic cloves, minced
¼ cup red onion, chopped
½ tsp ground black pepper
½ tsp oregano, dried
Directions:
  1. In a medium bowl, add ground lamb with the onion, garlic, parsley, oregano, mint and salt and pepper. Mix just enough to combine all ingredients equally. Do not over mix, will make the lamb tough.
  2. Shape the meat into patties about ½ inch thick, and transfer to a plate lined with plastic wrap.
  3. Prepare grill or grill pan to medium-high.
  4. Cook the burgers for 3-4 minutes per side until desired doneness.
