Need something that has a nice crunch to it for a snack, to fill in the gap of missing those greasy, yet oh so delicious potato chips. These Sesame Sunflower Paleo Crackers are just perfect for such a snack. Adding other seeds or crushed nuts can definitely add to the already amazing taste of these crackers. Top with some fresh fruit or use with some of the flavourful salsas, hummus, or guacamole found under the tab of Paleo Diet Plan


Ingredients:
¼ cup spring or filtered water
1 cup sesame seeds, raw and preferably organic
½ tsp sea salt
1 cup sunflower seeds, raw and preferably organic
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare two same sized greased parchment paper sheets for step 5. Also have a baking sheet readily available.
  2. Add sunflower seeds to a food processor. Process 2-3 minutes to create a flour like consistancy.
  3. Add the sesame seeds and pulse to combine.
  4. Slowly add water, stirring or pulsing until a thick paste forms.
  5. Place the paste between two greased pieces parchment paper. Roll out the paste as thin as possible. Remove the top piece of parchment.
  6. Lightly score the batter into squares with a sharp knife. Sprinkle with sea salt.
  7. Place the parchment paper on a baking sheet.
  8. Bake until golden and crisp, about 20 minutes. Allow to cool, then gently breaking into squares as scored.
